ABOUT ROUGH DIAMOND EQUINE

Rough Diamond Equine is a retraining and rehoming business run by George Chaloner and Daisy Jones.

​

George was a professional flat jockey for seven years, with career highlights such as winning the Wokingham at Royal Ascot and also the Northumberland Plate.

He has also worked as part of the management team at a racecourse, undergone clerk of the course training, passed his LGV driving course, and worked as an assistant trainer. George still rides out for a trainer six mornings a week.

Daisy has over 14 years experience working in the equine industry, having started out working at a racing yard whilst still at school. She enjoyed spells working both at stud and prestigious show jumping yards, but always gravitated back to racing.

Daisys roles have included supervisory positions, such as travelling show groom, head lass and yard manager.
